Reliability & privacy

Your transfers stay verifiable and under your control.

See how transfers recover, what happens to stored files, and where the current privacy limits are.

Interrupted transfers can continue safely.

Resumable multipart upload

An interrupted transfer resumes from the missing parts instead of starting over.

Nothing arrives broken, nothing gets replaced

What arrives is checked against what was sent, and an existing file is never replaced. Pull is always safe to run.

Workspace records can be exported

relay export writes folders, notes, every Bundle's file list, and the full history to a local JSON file you keep.

Waiting Bundles can be queried anytime

On the receiving side, run relay bundle inbox at any time to list the unread Bundles for that device.

Deleting is a two-step decision: a Bundle goes to trash first, and only from there can it be purged.

Stored files have clear privacy limits.

Stored data includes files and handoff information.

File names, relative paths, and your note are stored so the receiving machine can rebuild the folder and understand the handoff.

Encrypted in transit and at rest

All traffic is HTTPS, and objects are encrypted at rest by the storage provider.

We do not read your file contents

We do not use file contents for routine operations. Without end-to-end encryption, the service can technically access stored files.

Soft delete is the default

A deleted Bundle stays recoverable for 30 days; purging it releases the storage right away.

End-to-end encryption is not available yet.

Avoid highly sensitive data during the beta.
